Celebrating Pride 2022 in Chicago & London

With both the US and UK celebrating Pride in recent weeks, our teams in Chicago and London activated in support of and celebrated the LGBTQ+ community.

In Chicago, the team had a fun-filled Pride Drag Bingo event hosted by Sasha Love, complete with some sing-along moments, rainbow snacks, and prizes. To get in the spirit, employees also had the chance to participate in a glow-up your cup contest — decking out a reusable cup of their choice with Pride-themed phrases and decorations, competing for the best cup in the office. Employees picked up pride bracelets, pins, and stickers to complement the many Pride-themed outfits of the day.

In London, the team marched in Pride in London — importantly the first time HAVI and tms have officially participated in the event and the parade’s 50th year in the UK. Both employees and their families joined in. After the march, they also held an afterparty at the office, featuring Drag Bingo hosted by Queen Capri Conceive.

“’All in…Just be yourself!’ This brilliantly summed up the whole day and the atmosphere. It felt free, liberating and electric to be at the event. I took my whole family, three kids and my partner, and all of them came home saying just how empowering it was. I felt privileged that I was able to not just walk, but also explain to the children some of the history and also explain and point out some of the less friendly protests that were visible on the other side. The drag bingo at the end of the day topped it off. It was hugely entertaining and fun,” said Mariko Francis, Packaging, Strategic Procurement.
